While some kind souls will be staying after the entertainment to SleepOut for the night to raise funds for Robes homeless guests, everyone can still do their part without braving the cold.
100% of donations collected that evening will support Robes Project's homeless guests. We do appreciate your support and generosity.

The evening will begin at 8:00pm with a warm welcome from Southwark Cathedral and the Robes Project.
The evening will continue at 8:15 with an engaging update from the Robes Project team – including the opportunity to hear directly from several homeless guests in order to help us all understand the impact that Robes Project is having.
Next, at 8:30 PM, the Robes Project and Southwark Cathedral are delighted that London Sea Shanty Collective will join us on stage as featured guests for our evening SleepOut entertainment for volunteers and supporters!
Hailing from Hackney, the London Sea Shanty Collective are a “glorious bunch of songsters” made up of women and men of all ages from around the world who are committed to social justice and joy of singing. We’re delighted to hear their shanties in Southwark Cathedral, with such amazing acoustics! The Robes Project is so grateful for the dozens of members who are generously donating their time for the SleepOut entertainment.
On the night, we will hear classic Sea Shanties, maritime songs and songs of the sea. The Collective arranges traditional songs with a contemporary twist. Everyone in attendance will be invited to join in and sing along – to share the joy and camaraderie. (We’ve even had a giggle about a rumour that some people will be coming in fancy dress pirate attire to get into the spirit. We look forward to finding out whether that rumour is true!)
Next, from 9:10pm we will enjoy a quick and fun quiz about homes and fighting homelessness.
And finally, we will close the entertainment with a SleepOut group photo in the front of the Nave at 9:30pm. Please note there will be no entry back into the Cathedral after 9:30pm.
No matter what, you’re invited to a fun evening for a great cause, whether you are a Singer or a Listener.
SleepOut Entertainment is suitable for the whole family with ticket donation(s) at each family’s discretion. Special entertainment and dinner for children will be provided in the Cathedral Library.
About the London Sea Shanty Collective:

Accessibility
We have an accessible route that includes only the entrance through the Link into the Nave and the North and South Transepts, but because the entertainment is in the Nave, it is a fully accessible experience.
We will endeavour to ensure all attendees enjoy the entertainment experience to the best of our abilities. However, please be aware that the Cathedral is not 100% step-free and includes uneven surfaces.
Parking
No public parking is available at the Cathedral. We encourage visitors to walk or use public transport where possible.
A variety of public car parks are within walking distance of the Cathedral. Please leave plenty of time to find parking.
Toilets
Toilet facilities (including accessible toilets and baby changing) are located in the Cathedral grounds, at the West End of the Link, near the entrance/exit.
Please speak to one of our volunteers if you need assistance.

About the Robes Project
The Robes Project is dedicated to providing a winter night shelter, food, clothes, services and support to Guests who are Homeless in South London.
Robes provides year-round advocacy services to help and support Homeless men and women into employment and permanent housing with dignity.
Robes provides a volunteer-led Winter Night Shelter for those in need, offering safety, a warm bed, a place to sleep, and a community to connect to. We offer tailored advice, guidance, and referrals in all areas, and work in partnership with our guests to help them move on to longer-term accommodation.
Once in their new dwellings, we offer a tenancy sustainment floating support service, aimed at preventing repeat rough sleeping.
Both current and former guests are welcome at our Wednesday Club year-round, where they can receive breakfast, a hot lunch, and showers. Wednesday Club gives guests a chance to reconnect with their community, play games, have a laugh, and get support from our dedicated advice workers for any challenges they may be facing.
Robes also coordinates 550+ volunteers across South London to host winter night shelters and provide meals, support, and a safe, warm night's sleep from November through March.
Robes is a small but mighty charity, and with the assistance of our amazing volunteers, we are proud to support those who need it most.
