Thanksgiving Service - Doorkins Magnificat
At this service we will celebrate the life of Doorkins Magnificat
Thank you for all your messages that have been sent in since we announced that Doorkins had passed away on the 30 September 2020. It has been very moving for us all to read what our little cat meant to so many around the world. She touched the hearts of hundreds of thousands of people and was a great ambassador for the Cathedral.
This service of thanksgiving will be held for her before her remains are buried in the Cathedral churchyard on 28 October at 2pm. Please note that her burial will not be streamed.
The Order of Service can be downloaded here
Due to present restrictions the service will be by invitation only but will also be streamed live on the Cathedral website page here, Facebook page here and YouTube page here.
We realise that Doorkins had many fans across the world, so for those of you who can't join us at the time, this service will be available to view via all the above platforms afterwards.
The Very Revd Andrew Nunn, Dean of Southwark has written a tribute to Doorkins which can be found here.
Acclaimed feline artist and our good friend Celia Pike has kindly produced a beautiful memorial card for Doorkins. This can be purchased via our online shop here
If you wish to leave a tribute to Doorkins, or a picture you may have taken then visit her memorial page here where you can also donate to Catcuddles Sanctuary who Doorkins supported for many years as well as the Cathedral.
