Occasionally access to the Cathedral may be restricted due to events taking place.
Southwark Cathedral is a busy working church, regularly hosting services and events. It may be neccessary to close all or part of the Cathedral to visitors to allow for these events to take place.
The Cathedral Shop and Cathedral Cafe will remain open during these times unless stated otherwise.
Herb Garden
The Cathedral Herb Garden is currently closed due to conservation work taking place on our stained glass windows.
Saturday 6 June
Due to a private event, the Cathedral will be closed to visitors until 3.30pm.
Tuesday 9 June and Wednesday 10 June
Due to a private event, the Cathedral will be closed to visitors until 5pm. The shop will also be closed.
Saturday 20 June
Due to a private event, the Cathedral will be closed to visitors between 11am-2pm. Regular services will continue in the Harvard Chapel.
