Occasionally access to the Cathedral may be restricted due to events taking place.

Southwark Cathedral is a busy working church, regularly hosting services and events. It may be neccessary to close all or part of the Cathedral to visitors to allow for these events to take place.

The Cathedral Shop and Cathedral Cafe will remain open during these times unless stated otherwise.

During December we hold many carol services and concerts for local schools, charities and businesses. On occassion it may be necessary to close the main part of the Cathedral building to visitors. The Cathedral Shop and Cafe will remain open throughout and we will re-open as soon as possible after the end of each service. Please see below for arrangements for specific dates.
