Accessibility for all our visitors is an important part of our welcome and mission here at Southwark Cathedral.
Please find current information about access below.
The Cathedral is free to enter, though donations are gratefully received. There is a Welcome Point situated in Mandela Porch, which is manned by Cathedral Welcome Hosts Monday – Sunday, 10am – 4.30pm.
Please note, currently there are certain areas of the Cathedral that are not accessible to wheelchair users, but we are working to improve our facilities.
Many of our services are livestreamed on this page of the website for those who are unable to attend in person.
Induction Loop
An induction loop for people who are hard of hearing is in operation in both the Cathedral Nave and the Garry Weston Library (for talks).
Large Print
Service sheets are available in large print at the back of the Cathedral (Sundays only). Please ask one of the Stewards for assistance.
