Walking with Friends | Rochester to Winchester
During late 2024 and throughout 2025 our pilgrimage will follow the route from Rochester to Winchester in monthly stages. We begin in Otford for the 4th stage on 15 March 2025. You can book to join us on each of the stages and find out more information for each section via Eventbrite. Briefing notes for the walks are sent on the Thursday immediately prior to the walk and generally we walk on the 3rd Saturday of the month.
Whilst we wish to ensure we can welcome all, our pilgrimages do require some walking experience. Before booking please be sure you’re able to walk for at least 10 miles at a reasonable pace, in varying weather conditions and across a range of different terrain. The pilgrimage organisers will not want to ask anyone to turn back during the walk but if necessary we may need to do so to keep the entire group safe. We try to ensure there is at least one drop out point during the walk with links to public transport but this is not always possible. Ticket price does not include refreshments or travel.
