Confirmation takes it name from the fact that we are confirming for ourselves the promises made at our Baptism. 

Normally confirmation is celebrated from the age of 11, and adults as well as children may be confirmed. 

There are usually three diocesan Confirmation services each year:

• The Eve of Candlemas
• The Eve of Pentecost
• The Eve of Christ the King
