Southwark Cathedral is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant of £75,600 from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund
Southwark Cathedral is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant of £75,600 from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund.
We are one of thousands of cultural organisations across the country being awarded support totalling nearly £400 million. This grant will provide financial support to Southwark Cathedral, safeguarding jobs and ensuring that the Cathedral can reopen fully to the public when Covid-restrictions allow.
The funding will specifically help the Cathedral with its April to June 2021 employment costs and running costs, in addition to funding printing of the Cathedral’s updated Visitor Guide, and two new contactless donation units.
This project is funded by the Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage. The Culture Recovery Fund is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England, using funds provided by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
