1934 - 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bishop Colin Buchanan on 29 November 2023. Following a short illness he died peacefully and with his beloved family around him. Bishop Colin was loved and respected around the world especially through his liturgical skills. He was a beloved Bishop of Woolwich from 1996 to 2004 before retiring to the Diocese of Leeds. He will be remembered as a liturgical scholar and pastor who cared so much for individuals and parishes and will be greatly missed.

May he rest in the peace of the Risen Christ.
