The disappearance of the Princes in the Tower in 1483 is one of history's most enduring mysteries. Join authors Matt Lewis, Nicola Tallis, and Nathen Amin as they share their radically different opinions on the fate of these two youths and have your say too! Were the Princes murdered by their uncle, Richard III, or another? Or did they survive the Tower? Join us as we unpick the events of 1483 and analyse the evidence.

About the Authors 

Nicola Tallis

Dr Nicola Tallis is an independent author and historian, and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. She has worked as a curator, researcher, and lecturer, and specialises in the use of jewels in late medieval and Tudor England. Nicola has made numerous television and radio appearances, including on BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are?, Channel 5’s The Vikings, The Gunpowder Plot, and Rich Lives, Poor Lives, and Channel 4’s Frankie Boyle’s Farewell to the Monarchy. Nicola is the author of five books, and her latest, Young Elizabeth: Princess. Prisoner. Queen. was Book of the Week in The Times.

Matt Lewis

Matt Lewis is an author and historian of the medieval period, host of the Echoes of History Podcast, co-host of the Gone Medieval podcast, and documentary presenter at History Hit.

Nathen Amin

Nathen Amin is an author and historian from Carmarthenshire, West Wales, who focuses on the 15th century. He has published five books, is an experienced public speaker and has also featured on national and international TV. In 2022, he was elected a fellow of the Royal Historical Society.

How to get here?
The Cathedral is located a 5-minute walk from London Bridge Mainline and Underground Station. Several buses also serve the local area, and nearby underground stations include Cannon Street and Monument.

Accessibility 

Please note that certain areas of the Cathedral are currently not accessible to wheelchair users, but we are working to improve our facilities. There is a platform lift to access the Cathedral. The Nave is wheelchair accessible from the Millennium Courtyard entrance via a platform lift. There are ramps into the South Transept. Access to the Retrochoir, High Altar and Choir is via the doors from the South Transept, into the Churchyard and back into the Cathedral via the Parish Door.  

Visitors who require assistance due to disability are able to book a carer/companion ticket free of charge.  
Accessible toilet facilities are located on the Ground Floor at the end of Lancelot’s Link, other is in the basement near to the Cathedral Café and can be accessed by the passenger lift. Both toilets need a radar key which can be obtained from a Cathedral team member.  

Service animals are permitted.
