Join the Newstead Wood School Chamber Choir at Southwark Cathedral for a relaxed, drop-in hour of festive carols and nostalgic winter classics in the heart of London.

Escape the December rush and step inside the historic sanctuary of Southwark Cathedral for our 'Carols at the Crossing,' a warm and informal lunchtime recital presented by the Newstead Wood School Chamber Choir.

Taking place in the majestic central crossing of the cathedral from 12:30 AM to 11:30 PM, this relaxed performance features a festive blend of traditional sacred carols and beloved secular winter pieces, including Elgar’s The Snow, Britten's This Little Babe, Kenneth Leighton's The Lamb, Errolyn Wallen's Peace on Earth, John William's Somewhere In My Memory and many more.

Designed to wrap around your day, last-minute shoppers, visitors, Borough Market festive revellers and devout worshippers are warmly invited to wander in to this sanctuary of songs and season's greetings, find a moment's peace, stay for the hour, or simply enjoy the music for five minutes before crossing back out into the city.
