Bach’s Christmas Oratorio is a monumental festive masterpiece composed in 1734, that recounts the Nativity story across the 12 days of Christmas.

Written as a collection of six cantatas, it recounts the Nativity story across the 12 days of Christmas. It remains a cornerstone of the choral repertoire, brilliantly mixing joyful arias with sacred poetry.  Led by musical director William Vann and featuring four outstanding soloists and the Meridian Sinfonia we will be performing parts 1, 3, 5 & 6, sung in German.
