Thy Kingdom Come

Thy Kingdom Come (TKC) is a global ecumenical prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost (28 May – 8 June) for more people to come to know Jesus.

In its 10th year, TKC calls for every person, household and church to pray for 11 days in their own way. Since it began in May 2016, God has grown TKC from a dream of possibility into a movement which unites more than a million Christians in prayer. It takes place in nearly 90% of countries worldwide, across 85 different denominations and traditions – so that friends and family, neighbours and colleagues might come to faith in Jesus Christ.

This year’s theme for Thy Kingdom Come is ‘Light up the world in prayer’ and to mark the global wave of prayer, Southwark Diocese is inviting people to join a family-friendly diocesan celebration on Sunday 8 June 2025 from 3–5pm at Southwark Cathedral. The event is open to all and free to attend. Come along to celebrate the joy of Pentecost with an afternoon filled with fun, creativity and interaction, and an exciting programme of activities for all ages. Refreshments will be provided.
