The Partiscum Choir from Szeged, Hungary, conducted by Tamás Lázár, presents a concert of sacred choral music spanning five centuries.
This lunchtime concert includes Renaissance works by Giovanni Pierluigi de Palestrina and Thomas Tallis, English masterpieces by Henry Purcell, and music by leading Hungarian composers including Zoltán Kodály, Levente Gyöngyösi and Bence Kutrik.
The choir, recognised at several international competitions, is joined by Hungarian organist Levente Kuzma, professor of organ at the University of Szeged, who will accompany selected works and perform a solo organ piece.
The concert reflects the rich tradition and contemporary vitality of Hungarian choral music.
The concert will last for approximately 50 minutes. It is free of charge, and no ticket is required.
