Learn about the incredible history of Christian Aid.
Christian Aid’s work began in 1945 when they were founded by the British and Irish churches to support refugees in Europe following the devastation and upheaval caused by the Second World War. Ever since, they’ve worked around the world to overcome the injustice of poverty and tackle its underlying causes. As the charity celebrates 80 years of impact, they’ve curated a photo exhibition that charts its most memorable moments, including spearheading the Jubilee 2000 campaign that led to the cancellation of more than $100 billion of debt owed by the world’s poorest countries, and forming the Southern African Coalition to end apartheid.
