A photographic exhibition by Sylvie Toutain.

This photographic exhibition invites viewers to look through church keyholes around the world. What initially appear as abstract compositions reveal, on closer inspection, intricate details rich in historical, cultural, and symbolic meaning. The ornate keyholes act as thresholds between public and private, profane and sacred, hinting at the rituals, stories, and traditions held within.

Sylvie Toutain is a nomadic artist living between London, France, and Menorca in the Balearic Islands. These diverse locations offer her a true source of inspiration, free from barriers and taboos. With each of her many stays, ideas blossom, and lines of thought emerge, drawing on Latin and Anglo-Saxon influences depending on the moment experienced or the encounter. It matters little where or how, as long as ideas flow, circulating between the artist's mind and fingers, and ultimately materialise on a surface.
