Being a chorister in one of the UK’s ancient foundations is not only a rare honour – it’s a life-changing journey. At Southwark Cathedral, we believe that this exceptional opportunity should be open to every child, regardless of background, financial means, or school.

Our vibrant choir currently includes 50 choristers from 32 different schools across London, with 90% of them attending state-maintained, non-fee-paying schools.

12.45pm | Arrivals and sign in

1pm | Singing workshop with Emily Elias, whilst parents have a Q&A with a small panel from the Cathedral (inc chorister parents) about chorister life and opportunities

1.50pm | Short Cathedral tour for parents and guardians

2.10pm | Join the Cathedral Choir for the Evensong rehearsal

2.30pm | Break for visiting young singers (while Cathedral Choir rehearsal continues)

3pm | Evensong, with visitors taking part alongside the Cathedral Choir

4pm | Tea in the South Transept with current and prospective choir families
