Cathedral Education Centre
For pupils who will be moving in to Year 5 or Year 6 in September 2018, we are pleased to offer 4 days of activities from 7 - 10 August 2018
With a focus on the world around us, and with a particular focus on the problems that plastic causes for our environment and issues of sustainability, we’ll spend some time exploring the Cathedral building and grounds, complete a ‘plastics challenge’ – exploring ways that we can reuse plastics – and visit the Crystal, where we’ll participate in a tour, a workshop exploring sustainability and an animal handling session where we’ll hold animals and discuss the human impact on their habitats.
Under the care of the Education Officer and a team of Children’s Workers, we’ll take part in team-building activities and challenges, get to know new people, play games and do some art and crafts.
The Cathedral is a Christian community, but we welcome all children moving into Year 5 or Year 6 to join us.
We have 32 places available for each day of activities which will run from 9:00am until 5:00pm at a cost of £20 per child per day.
We have received funding from both the St Saviour’s and St Olave’s Schools Foundation and the Newcomen Collett Foundation which will enable us to offer a limited number of subsidised places in cases of financial hardship.
