  • Time

Join us on Friday 25 November to raise money for those facing homelessness at the annual Robes SleepOut.

Eleven years ago, the first Robes SleepOut was held to raise money and awareness for Robes. Today it remains a major fundraising event for the charity, hosted annually by Southwark Cathedral.

Registration for Robes Project Sleep Out event is now open for 2022.

You can register in advance via the Robes website. The deadline to register for this year's event is 5pm on Thursday 24 November.

By giving up your cosy beds and sleeping out under the stars, you can help alleviate local homelessness, show solidarity, and make a difference.

If you can’t sleep out then come to the amazing night of entertainment we have lined up and donate £10 on the door to make a difference!

More information can be found on this factsheet.

How to support Robes SleepOut 2022

You can support Robes in 3 different ways:

1. Come enjoy the SleepOut evening entertainment for a £10 donation at the door

Starting from 7pm, whether or not you are sleeping out, this year’s entertainment should be great fun for everyone. Slide in (or waltz!) at the Silent Disco and/or enjoy refreshments. Starting at 8pm, we’re delighted for jazz guitarist John Etheridge to perform. John has recorded 40+ albums, regularly partnering with John Williams, Stéphane Grapelli, Soft Machine and others.

The entertainment will continue with a rousing and hilarious “Thou Shalt Not Lie” game show! Fierce competitors include our very own Dean Andrew Nunn, Fr Grant Bolton-Debbage, actor Jonathan Livingstone and Reverend Roger Royle – all egged on by our host Canon Giles Frasier. Come and see who is too truthful and who is a convincing liar! Who knows who else may make an appearance…

2. Volunteer to help at the SleepOut evening … or in the morning

This includes helping with refreshments during the night, helping prepare breakfast in the morning, security or registration. We are keen to have anyone help! It’s a lot of fun, please join us.

3. Please sponsor the Dean, the Sub Dean… or Hodge!

Both the Dean and the Sub Dean will be sleeping out for Robes this year and they need your support. This is the last time the Dean will doing it, so he is determined to get a lot of sponsorship. You can find his JustGiving page at:

And of course, Hodge used to be homeless and will be sleeping out for Robes too! His page is here:
