An anthology of romantic and contemporary choral music
Opus94 conducted by Bram van der Beek has stablished a proud tradition of performing a wide-ranging repertoire that includes repertoire from the baroque until today.
Besides well-known choir pieces very interesting rarely performed romantic choir repertoire like the Puccini Requiem and the Gounod Stabat Mater.
But there are also a number of contemporary composers of choral music who simply deserve more recognition overall. We have chosen some morsels for anyone interested in finding out more about the wonderful world of contemporary choral repertoire. For example Eric Whitacre with his slow, ethereal sound, Ola Gjeilo and Kim Arnesen (Both Norwegian classical composers) with beautiful, almost comforting music.
We would like to invite you for this concert that we give during our stay in England!
