“I hope visitors to Gaia get to see the Earth as if from space; an incredibly beautiful and precious place. An ecosystem we urgently need to look after – our only home. Halfway through the Earth’s sixth mass extinction, we urgently need to wake up, and change our behaviour. We need to quickly make the changes necessary, to prevent run away Climate Change. Luke Jerram, Artist

We are looking forward to welcoming artist Luke Jerram’s spectacular installation 'Gaia' to the Cathedral in October.

As we anticipate a high demand to see the exhibit we are operating an entry only by ticket system. Entry during the day is free but tickets must be booked in advance (Monday – Saturday).

Monday mornings from 9.30am – 11.00am are set aside for relaxed viewing and are designed for those who may have neurodiverse conditions (including autism and other sensory processing difficulties) to enjoy.

On selected evenings we will be open late for visitors to see Gaia spectacularly lit against the beautiful backdrop of the Cathedral architecture. Entry charges will apply when visiting during the evening and tickets must be booked in advance.

Our exciting programme of associated events will have something for everyone, From concerts to film screenings we will be focusing on learning and the environment.

We hope you’ll join us in this celebration of the Earth, our wonderful home, and jewel in the firmament.

Please visit our Gaia web page to find out further information about Gaia, how to visit, and the associated events programme.
