Choirs, band, orchestra and classical guitar ensemble from Rossmoyne Senior High School in Perth, Western Australia.
Rossmoyne Senior High School is located south west of the city of Perth in Western Australia. It has a long tradition of classical-style music education and every three years is able to mount a music tour to Europe. In April of 2019, the Rossmoyne Music Tour will comprise 79 secondary-aged music students and their accompanying staff. The music tour locations will include, Oxford, Leicester, York, Harrogate and its International Youth Festival, Ypres in Belgium and finally, London.
The tour party will consist of an orchestra, concert band, Large choir and Chamber choir and a Classical Guitar ensemble.
In addition to a full schedule of concerts, the students will experience cultural and historical features of England and Belgium and have the unique opportunity of participating in ANZAC Day commemorations in and around the Western Front.
This tour represents a unique opportunity to share the love of Classical music in iconic venues as well as experience the wider cultural history of Western Europe. For 79 young West Australians this trip represents the trip of a lifetime.
