One of Australia’s Leading Brass Bands performs a moving ANZAC tribute dedicated to the WWI service people who did not return.
In 2013 the Australian Footscray Yarraville City Band (FYCB) discovered in their store room, a WW1 bass drum which had been out of use since the 1960’s. On the inside of this drum we found five inscriptions written by WW1 soldiers. The discovery of the WW1 bass drum inspired the band to develop a special project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of WW1 which has culminated in a European Tour including a performance in the beautiful Southwark Cathedral.
