JP Morgan Symphony Orchestra performs music by Brahms, Wagner and Schubert

The JP Morgan Symphony Orchestra, a full-scale symphony orchestra born in 2016 and based at JP Morgan Chase in London, brings together amateur musicians from the city and is quickly establishing a reputation in the landscape of large amateur orchestras. For this concert they propose a program touching on three different moments of the German romantic tradition. The program starts with the triumphal opening of the chorale of The Mastersinger of Nuremberg to drown into the tragic landscapes of Schubert and Brahms, returning to a very similar chorale which closes Brahms’s momentous first symphony. The three pieces touch on some of the key moments of the German romantic musical tradition bringing together the key elements of the tragic, the religious and the majestic.
