The Cathedral Lay-Clerks and Boys' choir lead us in this service taking us from darkness to light as we celebrate the biblical figures represented in the advent crown.

No need to book in advance.

The Cathedral Carol Service I

6.00pm (in-person and online)

Experience the magic of Christmas with a traditional pattern of lessons and carols sung by the Great Choir of Southwark Cathedral.

Please note that you must be seated by 5.30pm for a 6.00pm start.

Friday 24 December - Christmas Eve

Building the Crib

4.00pm (in-person only)

Visit the Cathedral with your family and journey to Bethlehem.  The Christmas story is being told as children help to build the crib.  Carols and fun for the whole family!

In-person only and no need to book in advance.

 

The First Eucharist of Christmas  (Midnight Mass)

8.30pm (in-person and online)

Earlier than midnight so our congregation can use public transport to get home, celebrate the birth of Christ through prayer and the Eucharist.

Please note that you must be seated by 8.00pm for a 8.30pm start.

Saturday 25 December - Christmas Day

Morning Prayer

8.30am (online and in-person)

There is no Christmas without Christ - so come to the Cathedral on Christmas Day.

9.00am - Eucharist with Carols (in-person only)

For those who like a quiter celebration this service will not disappoint.  Join us as we journey to Bethlehem to greet the Christ-child. 

 

11.00am - Choral Eucharist (online and in-person)

Whilst the turkey is roasting join us for the true highlight of Christmas Day as we celebrate the greatest gift to humankind, Jesus Christ, who we meet in the word and music of the sacrament.
