Christian Aid Week at Southwark Cathedral

#StandTogether this Christian Aid Week 13-19 May

Poverty is an outrage against humanity.  It robs people of their dignity and lets inhustice thrive.  But together we have the power to transfrom lives.

Christian Aid Week is Britain's longest-running fundraising week and has been a firm fixture in the calendar for many thousands of people since 1957.

Southwark Cathedral is pleased and proud to support Christian Aid Week and we encourage you to join us as we pray that Christian Aid Week will be successful in raising awareness to changes that must be made to many people's lives around the world.

During the week Christian Aid Week gift envelopes will be available at all our services.

On Sunday 13 May we invite you to join us for breakfast in the Cathedral Library after our 9.00am Eucharist and bread and cheese after the 11.00am Choral Eucharist.  Our Youth Express group will also be selling cake and second hand books to raise money.

The Cathedral's Connected Group will be serving refreshments in the Queen Elizabeth II room after Choral Evensong.

On Saturday 19 May between 10.30am - 3.00pm, volunteers from the Cathedral will be out in Borough Market with donation buckets, so if you see them please do give generously.
