Information for those who maybe planning to attend our Carol Services and Midnight Eucharist on Christmas Eve
The Carol Services at 6.00 pm on 22 and 23 December as well as the Midnight Eucharist at 11.30 pm on 24 December are particularly popular and people arrive very early. The majority of the seats are available on a first-come, first served basis.
Doors will open one hour 15 minutes before the Carol Services start and one hour before the Midnight Eucharist begins. For your security, bag searches will be in operation; we would advise that large bags are not brought to the Cathedral.
Groups needs to ensure that all of their party is together before entering the Cathedral, as reserving seats will not be permitted. Any member of the group arriving after the rest of their party has entered will be asked to go to the back of the queue. We will also be asking everyone to ensure that there are no empty seats next to them.
Please be assured that we will try to accommodate as many people as possible, but when all the seating in the Cathedral has been taken, we cannot allow anyone else into the building, as standing is strictly not permitted.
