Car Free Day - 22 September 2019

Reimagine is a new event to celebrate World Car Free Day on Sunday 22 September 2019

London's biggest celebrations will take place on more than 20 kilometres of closed and restricted roads in the City of London, Southwark and Tower Hamlets. Road closures will be in place between 07:00 and 19:00.

Tower Bridge and London Bridge will be closed to general traffic. Buses will still run across London Bridge. Southwark Bridge may need to be closed northbound at short notice on the day to help manage traffic.

There are a number of bus routes that will be impacted by these closures. Some routes will be on diversion or stop short of their normal destination, some may not serve their usual stops and some bus stops will be temporarily moved or suspended.

Visit TFL's Car Free Day page here to see if your bus route or ther means of transport is affected and for more information about your travelling options on the day.  We wouldn't want you to not get to church on Sunday 22 September!
