Following the announcement last week of the introduction of Plan B in response to the omicron variant
Visitors and congregation are required to wear masks in the Cathedral, except for those who are exempt from doing so. Thank you for doing this. Whilst it is suggested that people can remove them to sing we ask that you keep your mask on even when singing the hymns and carols. Everything else about the way in which we have been worshipping together over the last few months will remain the same.
Sadly, we are unable to make any more tickets available online for Christmas services as these are now fully booked. However, we will be livestreaming the Cathedral Carol Service on Sunday 19 December at 6.00pm and the Christmas Day Choral Eucharist at 11.00am.
We have made the difficult decision to cancel the Crib Service on Christmas Eve at 4.00pm. We know this will disappoint many families for whom this is a significant part of their Christmas celebrations. However, as those who attend will know, the cathedral is usually packed for this service and the children are enthusiastic in their participation. We therefore think that in the current circumstances it is wiser to cancel it this year.
The most important thing is to keep each other safe and to keep each other in our prayers.
