Thy Kingdom Come 2018

Join the global wave of prayer 10 - 20 May 2018

From Ascension Day on the 10 May, until Pentecost on the 20 May, we are all encouraged by the Archbishop of Canterbury to join the global wave of prayer under the global movement #ThyKingdomCome.

During these days, it is hoped that everyone who participates will deepen their friendship with Jesus, bring others to know Jesus or know him better, and come to know that every aspect of their life is the stuff of prayer.

What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer. Since then Southwark Cathedral has held prayer sessions in the Cathedral, and this year we are proud to have made a #Pledge2Pray, and part of that pledge involves three interactive prayer stations in the Harvard Chapel. Tweet your prayers and experiences using the hashtag #ThyKingdomCome

These prayer stations explore different powers of the Spirit: the power to gather, the power to transform, and the power to send. We hope that over the ten days you’ll be able to take part in this global wave of prayer with us at the Cathedral.

If you need help accessing the Harvard chapel, then please speak to one of the stewards at the West end of the Cathedral as you enter. Southwark Cathedral is open Monday - Sunday 9am – 5pm, and main service times may restrict access to the Harvard Chapel.
