We are joined by representatives of other faiths as part of 'A Year of Service', as we celebrate God's creation. Gifts of men's toiletries and food with a long shelf-life are invited for the Manna Day Centre for homeless people, and gifts of socks and underwear for the ROBES winter shelter project.

The Choral Eucharist is followed by a procession and a short act of harvest worship in the Borough Market as part of Apple Day.

Bishop John was Provost of Sheffield before being Bishop of Guildford and then Bishop of Chelmsford.  In retirement he is Chair of Citizens Advice Bureau and is a much valued advisor to the Church as well as a preacher and speaker.  Whilst Bishop of Guildford Bishop John famously preached at the 20th Anniversary Service for LGCM and has continued to campaign on justice issues within and beyond the church.

The overall title of this years Holy Week addresses is The Fires of Hell and the Face of Love focussing on readings from Matthews Gospel. John begins on Palm Sunday at Choral Evensong.
