The refectory at Southwark CathedralThe Refectory at Southwark Cathedral offers a dining space for casual lunches, coffee and cake and pre-concert suppers, featuring a seasonal and fresh range of home cooked produce with daily changing specials.
On the menu this winter are homemade sandwiches and paninis, salads and hot dishes, as well as festive mulled wine and mince pies which can be enjoyed in the marquee in the Courtyard.
Our new winter afternoon tea includes finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and a range of homemade cakes and bakes. Our limited edition Christmas afternoon tea also includes mulled wine and mince pies, a perfect festive treat.
We also offer a range of teas and Fair-trade coffees and a selection of soft drinks, wines and beers.
Monday - Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm
Saturday and Sunday 9.30am – 5.30pm
Hot lunches served daily from 12midday to 3.00pm
Afternoon tea served from 3.00pm
Southwark Cathedral is offering concert performers and attendees the chance to enjoy a fine dining meal ahead of selected performances.
The Refectory will host dinners for up to 70 people, with a three-course menu prepared by the Cathedral’s partner caterer Elior.
Dishes on the menu will feature seasonal, British ingredients such as British red apple and stilton salad with crispy lettuce, walnuts and raisins and grilled corn-fed chicken breast with sautéed vegetables, fondant potato and chasseur jus.

Elior are responsible for all event and hospitality catering at Southwark Cathedral and have a tempting range of day delegate rates and evening menus to suit all events. Exclusive bespoke menus are also available. The Refectory, the Nave and the Retro Choir are also available to hire in the evenings for dinners, cocktail parties and standing receptions.
