Stewardship Officer

£28,000 pro rata for 17.5 hour week
(Initial 1 year contract with possibility of extension)

The Dean and Chapter are seeking to appoint a Stewardship Officer to increase both planned/pledged giving and stewardship amongst a large, vibrant and diverse congregation. The Stewardship Officer is the Cathedral's public face of stewardship. The post will provide a unique opportunity to make a difference to our on-going mission. 

S/he will work closely with other Cathedral clergy, staff and volunteers to identify and take advantage of areas for potential growth in stewardship giving and be responsible for production of stewardship materials.

We are looking for someone with a demonstrable track record in successful Christian stewardship; able to manage and train a team of volunteers in stewardship activities and able to use pastoral sensitivity when dealing with the congregation. We can offer flexibility with hours, good colleagues and a positive work environment in a dynamic and well respected Cathedral.
